The Garden of Dave Paquette

The May garden of the month has been awarded to Dave Paquette 4 Juniper Lane, for his lovely property that has many garden sections through out.

The left side of the home has a woodland garden with many native flowering plants, Lilly Of the Valley, Celandine Poppy Wild Geranium, Trillium, Solomon's Seal and several ground covers and boasts 20 varieties of fern. The pathway of bark mulch adds to the natural feel to the area. Dave has thoughtfully retained some rotting logs and dead trees which house families of Blue Birds and Red Squirrels. Along that side of the house is a border of Old Fashioned and White Bleeding Heart. The back yard has several island gardens with spring, summer and fall blooming flowers and Peach, Plum and Apple trees, all with black mulch that makes the lush green lawn pop! The right side of the house at the street has mature Lilacs of various height and color with a bank of Vinca that covers a bank down to a stream. A layered retaining wall along the front of the house has a variety of colorful shrubs, perennials and herbs, Candy Tuft, Hen and Chicks, Forget me not, Mint and Thyme. The front has blooming daffodils, azalea and a stunning Red Bud tree.
